Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy. When the death was caused by someone else’s negligence, it is even more difficult to accept. We provide compassionate guidance to your family while we learn what your loved one provided to the family both financially and emotionally.
We recognize that monetary compensation will never make up for your loss. However, it can ease the financial strain that comes with planning a funeral and adjusting to your changed circumstances. We can help you face the future with the peace that justice was served, so you can move forward.
Filing a Claim
In Minnesota, the spouse, children, siblings, parents and grandparents of the person who died are eligible to bring a wrongful death claim. One person is appointed by the Court as the trustee, for the purposes of bringing forward the wrongful death claim on behalf of the entire family. Families can recover for loss of earnings, loss of services and loss of aid, comfort, society and companionship. We will pursue the at-fault parties while you focus on more personal matters.
While you and your family grieve, the at-fault individual’s insurance company will actively investigate the accident. They will take witness statements, gather physical evidence and do anything else to defend against a wrongful death lawsuit. The sooner you contact our office, the sooner we can launch an independent investigation and put you on a level playing field with the insurance company.
